LINDSEY'S BIRTHDAY BRUNCH

Sunday was my sister Lindsey's 27th birthday. We celebrated by going to brunch at Restoration Hardware's Three Arts Club in the Gold Coast neighborhood. We wanted to go there ever since we saw other people posting pictures of the restaurant on Instagram. We had a group of eight girls, but the restaurant does not take reservations, so after reading reviews about the line outside before the place even opens, we decided to get there early. We arrived a little before 10:30am and were second in line. Before we knew it, the line was about 50 people long! Of course it was freezing out and they wouldn't let us come in and wait.

As soon as 11am hit, the giant doors opened and we felt relief from the warmth. The room was breathtaking so of course we all grabbed our phones to snap some photos. It was stunning. The centerpiece of the room was an enormous crystal chandelier hanging above a glistening fountain. The brick walls, greenery, and glass atrium ceiling added to the unique style of the restaurant. We were sat almost immediately at a cozy corner table with a padded bench full of pillows with a white and gray marble table top.

Lindsey's crafty roommate Lori set up the table with little paper heart confetti and delicious homemade strawberry mini cupcakes. Our server greeted us and we ordered bellinis, coffees and teas to start.

After debating all of the tempting menu choices, I settled on the Burrata plate. The other girls ordered either the RH Scramble or the Grilled Cheese. Everyone seemed to be very happy about their choice and I devoured my plate pretty quickly. It was SO GOOD.

Even after clearing our plates, we all (of course) still had room for dessert. We ordered one banana split for the table. They stuck a candle in it for Lindsey's birthday and then we passed it around, each taking a bite (or four). It was a scoop of each chocolate, vanilla and strawberry ice cream with chocolate, caramel and strawberry sauce -- well, you get the picture. Or you can just see it below!

Three hours later, some of the girls had to leave, but the rest of us wandered around the many levels of the Restoration Hardware store. We made a game of trying to find the cheapest item for sale and it was not easy! The store was absolutely beautiful - the rooms were staged to look like an actual bedrooms and living rooms and I wanted to live in each one!

Such a fun day at a fabulous location!
