After a rainy and muggy weekend, Sunday turned out to be a really nice day and with summer winding down (*cringe*) I had to take full advantage and planned to go to the beach.
First order of business was to get lunch. Lindsey and I went to Eats and Sweets on the corner of Montrose and Paulina in Ravenswood.
The inside was really cute and cozy. The menus were handwritten in chalk on the walls including daily specials.
Along with their breakfast and lunch options, there were several fresh baked goods at the counter.
I ordered the lavender lemonade and Lindsey had the basil lemonade. The lavender was really good and refreshing.
I ordered the Yellow Squash and Hummus Panino. It had grilled zucchini and squash with a white bean hummus and feta cheese between grilled sourdough bread. It was really tasty.
Lindsey ordered the BLT Croissant.
It was a delicious lunch and not too filling. Next we headed over to Montrose Beach and enjoyed the rest of the afternoon in the sun.
